Motion Dance Academy does Competitions in Kimberley and Lethbridge and Festival in Cranbrook. Competitions are available for more advanced classes and will be considered on a case by case basis for younger classes. Registration for competitions is due in early January and so commitment is needed in December. More information regarding costs, attire, etc. will be made available in December or January.
The Kimberley competition takes places in late April and the Lethbridge competition takes place in early May. The East Kootenay Performing Arts Festival is usually in the middle of March. There may be additional classes necessary in preparation for competitions, which would be at an additional cost to parents. Solos/Duos/Trios Solos, duos, and trios are considered on a case by case basis. Please speak with Karla Hein if you are interested. Solo, duo, and trio choreography, costumes, and practice classes are at an additional cost to regular classes.

Students MUST make sure they stretch & practice at home regularly, so they are prepared for their next lesson.
Anyone performing a duo or trio MUST schedule time with their partners to practice together.
Dancers must be enrolled in all the recommended classes for their level before they will be permitted to do a solo/duo/trio.
